Caring for your glass art

Safety first!

Unless otherwise specified, stained glass art contains lead. Keep away from small children, and wash your hands after handling.

Displaying your piece

Suction cups are not to be trusted! They can easily lose their grip over time, especially with temperature changes or excessive weight. Please only use suction cups for small pieces, and be sure to give them a press frequently to re-secure.

You can use screw hooks or nails to hang a piece from a window frame (or other surface depending on where you want to display it). If you have windows like mine, the locks also make nice sturdy points to hang from. Command hooks work great too - just check what weight they are rated for!

Cleaning

Your piece should not require any significant maintenance. If you do need to clean it, first try running water followed by drying with a microfiber cloth. If necessary, you can use a glass cleaner that does not contain any ammonia or vinegar (I recommend Sprayway).

Polishing

Silver and copper finishes will darken over time. If you prefer the shiny look, you can polish them with carnuaba wax.
